국립해양문화재연구소

국립해양문화재연구소은 목포시 갓바위 문화거리에 자리하고 있으며, 우리의 소중한 해양 문화유산을 찾고 알리는 국내의 하나뿐인 해양박물관입니다. 전시실은 바다에 잠들었던 옛 배와 다양한 문화재들과 바다마을 사람들의 삶과 문화, 우리배의 역사등을 주제로 꾸며져 있으며 야외 해변에는 수상전시관이 준비되어 있습니다. 해양문화와 발자취가 담긴 문화재를 보면서 선조들이 어떻게 바다를 이용하고 개척하였는가를 느낄수 있는 곳입니다. 단 매주 월요일은 휴관입니다.
